Dr. J.J. Patlola

Veterinarian

Dr. J.J. considers challenging surgical cases to be the most rewarding, but specifically enjoys soft tissue surgery, wound management and emergency surgeries. He is a very dedicated and brilliant veterinarian in our team. He completed his D.V.M in 2004. He completed his Masters in Dept of Animal Science, at University of Vermont. During his masters, he did research work on the effect of vaccination on the immune status of neonates. His recommendations are very useful in the field. He sharpened his skills using state of art cutting-edge techniques. He is an avid reader, and he enjoys spending time with his family and dog Princess.

Dr-Arshad-Shaik

Dr. Arshad Shaik

Managing Veterinarian

Dr. Arshad Shaik is a compassionate and dedicated veterinarian with a strong background in both small-animal medicine and surgery. He earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in India and brings extensive hands-on clinical experience from working in high-volume animal birth control programs and rescue shelters, where he performed thousands of spay and neuter surgeries while managing a wide range of medical and surgical cases.

Dr. Shaik later completed a Master of Science in Animal Science at Fort Valley State University, where his research focused on stress physiology and animal health. He also completed the PAVE (Program for the Assessment of Veterinary Education Equivalence) program at the University of Missouri, preparing him for clinical practice in the United States.

His professional interests include preventive care, internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and client education. Dr. Shaik is known for his calm demeanor, thorough approach to diagnostics, and commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care tailored to each patient and family.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Shaik enjoys continuing education, staying current with evidence-based veterinary medicine, and spending time with his family. He is excited to serve the pets and pet owners of the Village Green Veterinary Services community.

Amanda

Practice Manager

Registered Veterinary Technician

Amanda has been with Village Green since 2018 and serves as the Practice Manager and Lead Veterinary Technician. She is a 2018 graduate of the Kent State Trumbull Veterinary Technology program. Amanda has one son, Caden, and a plethora of pets including dogs, cats, sugar gliders, and pigs. For fun, you will find her outdoors where she loves to camp, fish, hike, swim, and go four-wheeling.

Kacey-Village-Green-Vet

Registered Veterinary Technician

Kacey is a familiar face at Village Green, having been with the practice since 2015. She is a graduate of Stautzenberger College. Kacey is married to her helpful husband; Zack and they share their home with many furbabies including three Pembroke Welsh Corgis and a clowder of cats. She spends her time outside of the office engaged in home improvement projects and gardening. She also enjoys crafting, visiting with family and friends, and binging Netflix.

Registered Veterinary Technician

Anna graduated from the Kent State Trumbull Veterinary Technology program in 2025. She is a dedicated veterinary professional with a strong passion for animal care and well-being.

Outside of her professional life, Anna enjoys spending time with her two cats, Miko and Juniper, her two dogs, Lucy and Ellie, and her rabbit, Bunnard. In her free time, she can often be found reading, painting, or horseback riding.

Amber

Veterinary Assistant

Amber is a graduate of Brookfield High School and is currently employed as a Veterinary Assistant. Her pets are many and varied, including three dogs, a cat and a turtle. Amber joined the veterinary profession because she loves to help and work with animals.

Rachel-Village-Green-Vet

Rachel

Receptionist

Rachel has been with Village Green since 2018, working summers and weekends as a receptionist. Rachel worked as a teacher for 10 years but is currently going back to school for dietetics. Her real passion is helping animals, and she shows it by spoiling her three dogs and many cats, as well as the occasional stray. Rachel founded the nonprofit organization Love, Vincent, which sends care packages to dogs and cats with cancer. She and her husband, Ian, are foodies and love to explore new places on the weekends.

Jenna-Village-Green-Vet

Jenna

Receptionist

Jenna is a dedicated dog enthusiast who, in her spare time, devotes herself to training and showing dogs and upland hunting alongside her skilled hunting dogs. A graduate with a bachelor's degree in Business Accounting, she balances her professional background with a life on her farm, which is home to a lively mix of animals, including dogs, horses, alpacas, chickens, a miniature donkey, and more. Passionate about canine performance and sporting events, she is an active member of the Youngstown All Breed Training Club and the Oak Ridge Pointing Dog Club.
